Where we stand
KESAB environmental solutions is a leading Non-Government Organisation (NGO) that has been delivering world class environmental sustainability programs for over 40 years. We care about the environment and work with government, business and communities encouraging innovation, action and behavioural change to improve the environment.
Creating sustainable communities. These are three words that sum up KESAB’s mission. In doing that, we also understand that there is power in understanding the art of the possible.
So the community that is KESAB is one of educators, of facilitators, of helpers. In a typical year we work with 300 towns and communities, 400 schools, 250 Natural Resource Management (NRM) school and community groups. 220 Road Watch groups, thousands of volunteers, 45 local councils, over 50 corporate and business organisations, and State and Federal governments. Community participation and environmental improvement in partnership with KESAB is estimated at over 700,000 hours valued at $30 million annually.
The scope of community change and education programs combined with trained and skilled project managers positions us amongst the best respected and most capable environmental organisations in Australia. Much of our work is ground-breaking.
It is studied and emulated around the world. Emerging environmental issues of waste reduction, resource recovery and reuse, climate change, water conservation and sustainability require proactive response.
KESAB is taking a lead role, creating sustainable communities through education, action and participation.
